Please chant with us. 

 

The way in.

 

Start  to hum along.

To feel the vibrations

within your body. 

Low and high.

​

Deep down in your pelvis and stomach, your chest,

and up in your throat, face, temples

and the crown of your head.

 

When it feels good sustain it.

When it feels better increase the volume.

When it feels wonderful

open up your mouth

and let it all out.

​

When you take a breath start with the same vibration.

Then maybe raise or lower it.

What ever feels the best in the moment.

Experiment.

 

When something doesn’t feel quite right,

Pull back slightly.

Start to hum again

and begin the above process anew.

 

When it works, go for it with abandon.

Loose yourself in it all.

When it doesn’t, smile and laugh…

And start the above process again.

 

Try some overtone chanting

While sustaining a vibration,

Shape the different vowel sounds with your mouth.

Enjoy how the sound changes

Sustain and manipulate it.

 

Never chant or vibrate too hard.

Never force your voice (or anything ;o).

Feel the vibrations come from your belly,

from deep within.

If your throat hurts at any time

Chant quieter or simply enjoy listening.

And remember.

Nothing is ever in or out of tune.

There are only different degrees of exquisite dissonance.

and they are all valid.
